Thanks! Unfortunately, things aren't going as smoothly as I would have liked. I've been having all kinds of complications, from wrong bobbins to power surges. (I brought this machine here from the States, and didn't think about the power adapter issues. When I press the pedal, I think my Thai electricity is giving it twice the juice it should. So my needle is always moving turbo speed! I've tried using a converter, but it still seems like it surges rather than running smoothly.) Hopefully I'll get the kinks worked out soon.
Is getting a machine locally an option? Perhaps something used that is more reliable and works with the power there might be a good compromise. I struggled with a problematic machine and once I switched to something that worked better things were less stressful.
I don't know if it's the pedal or electricity issue. Hard to tell. Think I'll get a new converter though and see if that helps. As for machines here, the only ones I've seen are those old metal Singers. Very cool looking, but I think it'd be hard to learn on...and probably expensive. We'll see if I can get my issues with this one figured out. My mother-in-law is sending me the right sized bobbins I need.
How exciting!
ReplyDeleteOoh these are lovely! I'm looking forward to seeing these for sale soon!

Deletealso could it be the pedal having a problem? sorry to hear you're having technical problems!
